Henley Farmhouse

Address: Wenlock Lodge, Acton Scott, Church Stretton, Shropshire SY6 6QQ, UK
Dating back to the 16th century, Henley Farmhouse has been finely restored by Rupert Acton to an exceptional standard so as to offer every modern day convenience while retaining its original character. A large, detached property that sleeps 20, it is set within its own picturesque grounds, offering uninterrupted views from south facing lawns towards Wenlock Edge and Flanders Folly. Including a wealth of period details such as beamed ceilings, oak floors and open fires, Henley Farmhouse has been furnished with a mix of new and antique. Curtains and blinds are designed using Ian Mankin's natural fabrics in simple stripes and checks. A bespoke farmhouse-style kitchen and secondary kitchen / utility room have been designed with real cooks in mind. There are two living rooms in addition to a children's playroom and an external table tennis room. Providing ten thoughtfully appointed bedrooms and nine high specification bath/shower rooms, most en-suite, the sleeping arrangements at the property are as comfortable as they are flexible so as to suit the individual needs of large parties. Six of the bedrooms can be made up as either twins or doubles. This unusually spacious holiday house has built a reputation for itself as the perfect holiday destination for larger families and groups of friends. It provides an ideal base from which to explore Acton Scott and the many attractions close at hand for all variety of age groups and interests.
